Fermionic Walkers Driven Out of Equilibrium

چکیده
We consider a discrete-time non-Hamiltonian dynamics of quantum system consisting finite sample locally coupled to several bi-infinite reservoirs fermions with translation symmetry. In this setup, we compute the asymptotic state, mean fluxes into different reservoirs, as well entropy production rate dynamics. Formulas are explicitly expanded leading order in strength coupling reservoirs.

متن کاملEnergy dissipation from a correlated system driven out of equilibrium
In complex materials various interactions have important roles in determining electronic properties. Angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (ARPES) is used to study these processes by resolving the complex single-particle self-energy and quantifying how quantum interactions modify bare electronic states. However, ambiguities in the measurement of the real part of the self-energy and an intri...
متن کاملMeasuring effective temperatures in out-of-equilibrium driven systems
We introduce and solve a model of a thermometric measurement on a driven glassy system in a stationary state. We show that a thermometer with a sufficiently slow response measures a temperature higher than that of the environment, but that the measured temperature does not usually coincide with the effective temperature related to the violation of the Fluctuation-Dissipation Theorem. متن کاملOut-of-equilibrium heating of electron liquid: fermionic and bosonic temperatures.
We investigate out-of-the equilibrium properties of the electron liquid in a two-dimensional disordered superconductor subject to the electric bias and temperature gradient. We calculate kinetic coefficients and Nyquist noise, and find that they are characterized by distinct effective temperatures: Te, characterizing single-particle excitations, TCp, describing the Cooper pairs, and Teh, corres...
